  • Being a narrator is not an easy task. You need to have technical flair, a great understanding of how your voice woks and be self-driven. Our narrators not only record their narrating, they fix mistakes, rerecord and mak sure no other sound gets recorded. We therefor expect our narrators to produce a clean recodig with as little mistakes as possibe - not everything can be fixed in editing.

  • We’re excited that you want to become a narrator!

All you need to do is make a lifelike recording of yourself, as how you would sound like as narrator and send it to us as an mp3 file. We suggest you narrate approx. two minutes of fiction.

Once you have applied through our survey, we will review your voice profile and if approved, you will be added to our database.

  • We know you are excited to get started as our new narrator. Once you have been approved, you will be part of our database. When we need a voice profile that’s not already in our catalog, the database is the first place we will look.

As such, you should not expect an answer right away, or even within a foreseeable time frame. That being said, a project needing your unique voice may be just around the corner.

  • You don’t need a formal education or a specific background to become a Swann narrator, but we expect that you have a professional approach to working with your voice.

You might be a commercial speaker, a voice-over actor, or maybe a journalist, which has provided you with valuable insights as to how voice-work works.

If you don’t have any experience using your voice, you can apply to audition - reach out to one of our producers for more information.

  • Yes you can!

We can provide you with our own equipment and assist you with the setup and technical details. Contact us for more details.

If you have your own recording equipment, please contact us and we will make sure the final recordings will meet our high standards. Once the studio is calibrated, please do not move the equipment, change any settins or moove stuff around in the room, as it can alter the sound picture.
